Faro has 25 betting rounds, which start with the soda and ends with the last card drawn (also known as hock). After each turn, the bets are settled, and the next turn starts with new bets. When the deck has been used up, the cards will be collected and reshuffled.

The banker shuffles the cards and places the cards in the shoe.
The banker will deal one card from the shoe face down.
