  • While in traditional Blackjack, the Insurance bet is one of the worst bets in Spanish 21, the insurance bet is not as bad. The bet pays 2 to 1. Remember, with the ten cards removed. The sealer has less chanced of hitting Blackjack.
  • You should avoid the side bet as its odds are not attractive. In reality, the bet would have to offer players 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 to be worth taking.
  • The side payouts may be your key to winning. For instance, the double down in European Blackjack is optimal play as it can counteract some of the side bets.
  • Having low cards in this variation of 21 is a great thing. The payouts offered in a 6 and 5 card hands are 2 to 1 and 3 to 1, respectively.
  • In addition to the low hands, split your low pairs so you can hit on two separate hands. The bonus payout is where a lot of wins will come from.
